Airsoft Ballistics is a free web tool that helps airsoft players quickly check energy and range for any combination of BB weight, muzzle velocity and hop-up setting. It started as an Android app and grew into this website.

How it calculates

Instead of simple formulas only, it runs a physics-based numerical simulation (RK4 integration).

• Muzzle energy: E = ½mv²
• Air drag: quadratic sphere drag (C_d ≈ 0.47)
• Hop-up: Magnus lift from backspin, with a spin-ratio dependent lift coefficient
• Environment: air density adjusted for temperature and altitude

Results are model-based estimates. Real-world performance varies with BB quality, wind and hop-up rubber condition. Always verify field-limit compliance with an actual chronograph.
